Atomic bombs was the the better of the two evils. Conventional bombing is way worse, which is where we would've dropped bombs filled with napalm, which will spread fire everywhere, which we did in 2 raids on Tokyo, which lead to 85 square miles completely demolished and 225,000 dead. The atomic bombs only destroyed about 20 square miles together and only half that, 125,000 dead.
The dropping of the atomic bombs may not be entirely ethical, but it is more ethical than going on more firebombing raids.

No, doping the atomic bombs was not okay. In Station #4 it mainly focuses on how dangerous these bombs were. America did this in hopes that Japan would surrender imminently but my personal opinion is that this could've been done in a way that wouldn't harm innocent people. The American commanders thought that the war would be stung out longer and eventually more people would die if they didn't drop the bomb but there had to be another option.

Atomic bombs comes from conventional chemical explosives, these are dangerous explosives, No I think putting these bombs on Japan was not okay but for the Japanese to surrender, America killed innocents as well. As they landed the bombs, within 5 years, long term radiation stayed and had recovered 2-3 weeks and some still affected.

Dropping the atomic bombs on Japan was unfair and unnecessary. Station #3 describes that Japan was planning on surrendering under the condition that the holy figure to the Japanese remained unharmed. America may have dropped the bombs because of the money invested into them, instead of just waiting for Japan to surrender themselves.

It was not ethical to drop Atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. On top of killing over 100,000 people due to the bombs themselves, the extreme radiation and other forms of air pollution caused by the weapons spread through other cities surrounding Hiroshima and killed many citizens of those cities. It also killed many of the plant and animal life. I think there could have been other more decent ways to resolve the issue.

I don´t believe this was ethical by any means. In station #1 we try to make ourselves look good with saying we won the race against the Germans in discovery this new potential weaponry. but the reality is we only won by putting so much effort such as us putting 2 billion dollars into the Manhattan project. I believe possibly we had an alternative motive which doesn't help it become just or fair in dropping 2 atomic bombs possibly there were more simpler ways to solve it.

I think that in order to end the war as soon as possible and to save as many of Americans as possible that the bomb dropping was ethical. Even Truman said he was trying to save as many boys as possible. He didn't want to draw out the war any further and kill more people than what a war for several more years would have.

The dropping of the atomic bomb was not right. In Station #4 it talked about someones experience during that bombing and how her life was so messed up afterwards. She was called a monster because of all the burns, flesh peeled off, hair fallen off, and hands meted together that the atomic bomb cased. Many people mistreated them by throwing rocks and not letting their relative in because they did not want to catch the ¨disease¨ that they have. Instead of ending the war quicker they caused more suffering to the innocent people and Japan did not surrender right away.

I think that drooping the two atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki was the right decision. Karl T. Compton, U.S. physicist, said that if we had not dropped the bombs that there would have been way more casualties. I believe this is true, a ground invasion would have dragged the war out for months maybe even years, I believe we saved more lives by making the decision to drop the bombs. George Tindall and David Shi stated that over 100,000 prisoners of war would have been killed, and the death toll for a ground invasion would have reached very high numbers.

Dropping the atomic bomb was not necessarily the best thing to do as it left about a million Japanese people now homeless. The U.S. should've thought of a better way to put Japan in their place rather than just dropping a bomb that left so many people dead and injured in a way. In station #6 it also talks about how the ones that survived the attack was now left with many dangerous burns and how the heating of the bombs were up to 1000 degrees. It was honestly the wrong choice to just bomb Japan like that because yes they did attack the U.S. bases and kill a good amount but they didn't destroy many peoples lives and homes.

I personally believe that this was unnecessary and not ethical to drop the bomb because Japan was already talking about surrendering to us. The United States also already knew that they were going to surrender by breaking through their code system and finding out all the important information about when they were going to surrender. The future president Dwight Eisenhower even said this was completely unnecessary to do and he also says that he feels bad because a lot of innocent people died those two days and that Japan was already weak enough so we should not have done it.

According to the station 2 text, dropping the bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki was ethical. It was ethical because it saved at most millions of Americans and Japanese. According to the text the war would've been more effective on the people. If the bombing didn't happen, the war would have continued for longer than what has happened, probably months longer, causing more deaths than the atomic bomb did.
