1.The Roman roads were built strong that would last for centuries. This was because people would have to use them constantly for travel. Especially during times of war.
2.Roman roads were used a lot to trade goods. The Romans first started by following a path left by past residents. Since the Romans would constantly be trading from place to place and the Roman Empire was big. They would have to build really strong roads for resistation due to heavy weight. So.e roads still remain now because of how resistant and durable they were built.
3. Roman roads were very helpful for the emperor to send messages and orders quickly. Since the Roman Empire was really huge. Of course the Emperor needed roads and routes to be abke to send messages directly. This also would have decreased the lercentage of getting lost or confusion which is probably why building roads made it faster.

1.Roman aqueducts moved water from mountains to the cities. Since some cities in the Roman Empire weren't surrounded by a land of water at all. The Romans had a bright idea of developing an aqueduct to transport water to the places in need of water.
2.Large navigable Roman aqueducts are also used for boats or ships to transport. Boats or ships were also mainly used for transportation and trading. If boats were able to fit in navigable aqueducts they woukd take this route to make it faster to get to their destination.
3.For Roman aqueducts to be able to move or transport water they relied on gravity

1.Roman bridges were needed to go from land to land ,over water, and connected them. This was also a very helpful way to transporting things and goods just like aqueducts and boats. But Roman bridges were used to connect two lands in a short distnace apart which were much needed because they wouldn't do have to go around and instead go straight and safe much time.
2. Roman bridges also used the strategy of arches and introduced them too. Arches were applied to bridges by making a rainbow like bridge, that way transportation boats or any other transportation way would be able to go under the bridge. Bridges were also a very good impact and suggestion to the present world because it safes much time, and easier to travel through.
3. The Romans built bridges that would be strong enough and made a special mixture that would hold huge weights.

Some builidings today are inspired by Rome's arches.
2.Roman arches gave the Romans the ability to make bigger buildings, longer roads, and better aqueducts. Roman arches are basically responsible for the history of architecture all across the Roman Empire.Overall, without the arches these constructions would have never have been possible.
3.Roman arches were were the greatest invention in architecture. The Roman arch was needed for many inventions that acquired a material that can hold a large amount of weight , and is able to build at high altitudes. The Roman arches were used to build bridges, aqueducts, sewers, amphitheaters, and triumphal arches, and also temples and palaces.

They thought they should choose for their leader and give everyone the freedom and a voice.
2.Instead of choosing their leader by taste. They elected them through voting because this would give people more rights and thought it was fair for the people to chose instead of choosing through religion or power.
3.The U.S. government is also republic because they choose their leaders through voting. Also no one in the government is tyrant. Meaning that no one has the most power and all power is seperated equally in the government.

1.The Roman government seperated powers and had branches of government. Such as the Twelve Tables. Which is a big impact in the system of their laws. The Roman's written laws were called the Twelve tables, which are laws carved on to twelve stone tablets, or tables.
2.The Roman government was made up the Senate, a council made up of plebians, and they had consuls. The Senate was made up of a group of 300 patricians in early Rome. Which were also a group of representatives who helped run the government. The Senate had the power to give or pass out laws. Rome also had a council made up of plebians, which also gained power to pass laws for all Rome as well.
3. The other branch also had consuls. Instead of a tyrant king, they had consuls. Consuls were the chief executives of the Roman Republic. The government elects and votes for two consuls each year. The consuls were the ones who also ran the government and the army. So whenever the was a war, or battle. The Senate would chose one consul or dictator who would control government and army during war, and after six months the dictator had to give up his power.

1. The use of columns was to provide vertical structure element that transmits through compression and will support the structure above and below. Roman columns were made of bricks. Though, Roman columns weren't as important and valuable as arches. Roman columns are used to support beams or arches and upper parts of buildings and where roof rest.
2. Even though columns are not necessary for supoort on buildings. People still built them for decorations. For example, the white house used columns inspired by the Roman Empire.
3. As the empire grew craftsmen started looking back to Roman archictecture to apply it to their structures. Columns were developed and mostly used by Roman and Greeks. Columns were also mostly used for decoration but also support on buildings

Some aqueducts can be bridges or an artificial water course. Aqueducts can be big due to their use of water.
2. Aqueduct is also a term that explains any system of pipes, ditches, canals, tunnels and other structures that refer to transporting water. All these examples are small sources of water to transports of water. Many can be found around our houses nearby.
3. For example, the Los Angeles River was a type of water supply. Since the city was growing. The river too had to increase in its size. The L.A engineers used the ancient Rome's methods to build underground pipes and siphons and deliver way using gravity.

The Pantheon was established in Ancient Rome and also inspired many structures today.
2. Roman domes are frequently used for government buildings and also religious architectures. Domes represent heavenly and divine. They also symbolize beginning and no ending, or forever.
3. These Roman inventions helped spread out the word or their accomplishes. The domes needed a lot of support and also required strong walls. Domes were mostly used for decoration. Another probable reason why the U.S. Capitol decided to use the dome as their example, was because of external life or power.
