The Datil, this is the fruit obtained from the species Phoenix dactylifera, popularly called date palm. It is the basic food of the Maghreb countries. Its name is derived from the Greek word ("daktilos"), which means "finger".
These fruits are nutritious and provide a high range of essential nutrients, and are a very good source of potassium in the diet.

Also they are medicinal plants, these have much tatino which is used medicinally like detersive and intestinal astringent; it is used for syrups or paste, the dates can be administered for throat pain, colds, bronchial cold, and to fight the fever.
