The social justice issue I would like to address in my piece is equality for all (gender, race). The piece on my playlist most influential in my composition process is Glory by John Legend because John gets right to the point about he he feels about racism. The genre I will be composing in is pop for now. The initial instrumentation for my piece is the cello.

The main chords I use are B A D and the reason I have chosen to make this music with these main chords are to show its bad to treat women without equal rights. I also used the time signature 3/4 to make the chords evenly fit in each measure spelling "bad". The next part our group will be composing is the finishing up of our piece and the lyric making. https://www.noteflight.com/scores/view/0269a35f21f6850ba6e08735e87c24d61a076825

Another thing we did was repeat the "ending" of our piece 3 more times. The lyrics added meaning to our piece about women rights continuing the piece showing our issue. To make our piece youtube ready we will need to make a ending to it so it sounds like it is finished plus we need to continue the lyrics to get the entire meaning into the song and finished off.

lyrics:
Everyone is deserving of rights. Doesn't matter who it is. Wether your a women or a kid. Women get mistreated all the time and they don't even commit a crime. its time to make a change. They deserve equal rights. No more housewives, no more lonely wives. Let them live there lives, oh let them live there lives ... oh its time.

https://www.noteflight.com/scores/view/0269a35f21f6850ba6e08735e87c24d61a076825

One addition we have added to the piece is the lyrics to the song about women’s rights. We wanted to show what it is about and the music notes doesn’t justify it alone so we added this to show meaning. In the lyrics it says the problem at hand and just notifies you that there is one. To finish this piece we need to combine the lyrics and the music piece to create a finished project.

Music:

https://www.noteflight.com/scores/view/0269a35f21f6850ba6e08735e87c24d61a076825

Lyrics:

https://padlet-uploads.storage.googleapis.com/240641893/193ce6801c7d0bee3e5bb59d2a6d8d1d/womens_rights_dylan_1.mp3

The title of the piece is "Women's Rights" because the whole point we are trying to convey is women's rights were going straight to the point and no way to confuse it. The instrument of the piece is a cello and vocals of the performer Dylan. The piece is about social justice because it was made to address the issue of women's rights and get the problem out there to be fixed. The one thing i would like the audience to take away it the problem of women’s rights shown in our lyrics and hopefully do something about it to change these problems.
