Everything we taught was very "old school" style teaching. I had previously come from a business background full of technology to a career that had minimal technology interaction. As the years passed and the available technology increased, I began to branch out and introduce technology into the classroom. Initially, it was only for basic research and possibly a brochure. Times have changed and we must change with it. Originally coming from a business background, I know many jobs are focused on technology skills and awareness of countless programs now. Within Canvas, I include many forms of Google apps, Blendspaces, Padlets, Prezi's, etc. I also allow them the creativity to decide what programs fit their interests to show their learning through a creative product. Sometimes, I may give them options. Other times, I ask them to branch out and find a new way to present the material learned (with my approval). Before this year, many of these students could barely login to their accounts.
