CHANGE OF CONTEXT:
Begin by creating a list of terms you consider "lovely" and "unlovely" Now, imagine you are one ornery (grumpy) person and you like to disagree with everyone about everything. . . Your job is now to find what is 'lovely' in the 'unlovely' things you see... What does this 'unlovely' object contribute to our word in a positive way? Do the same for your 'lovely' list---how are these objects not-so-wonderful?"

TODAY'S WALKING/WRITING INVITATION:
Create a list of lovely and unlovely things you see on your walk. For each thing you add to your list take a photo on your phone or stop to sketch what you are noticing. Write a brief description (few words, few sentences) about what is lovey or unlovely. Post one photo/sketch and description of a lovely noticing and an unlovely noticing below. 

You can interact with other writers by responding to their post taking on an "ornery" or "appreciative" perspective, helping our community look differently at the world around us.

This required the removal of a great deal of rocks and planting of grass seeds in hopes of a new patch of grass. The hostas look lovely and the seeds seem to be successfully growing grass.  
The unlovely, I now have a pile of rocks in the driveway. This includes giving him as much cuddle time as possible (he enjoys cuddles). To go on my walk, I had to transfer him to my spouse, and kitty hasn't enjoyed being moved to new places. To counteract his discomfort, I walked the dog, giving the cat space to be in his element. The dog, learning that he was going for a walk, jumped and spun in a circle.
