Recorded crimes is when someone reports it to the police and they decide to record it. Reported means that someone tells the police about a crime that has occurred. The Police in Scotland also solved 49.5% of crimes. Scotland, especially the city of Glasgow, used to be one of the most violent places, however due to the efforts of the government with the introduction of crime prevention schemes-such as the violence reduction unit- this has changed drastically. 
The below graph shows that crime has been falling in cities in Scotland from 2007-2017. This also proves that crimes of dishonesty are in fact the highest with 46% with non-sexual crimes of violence being the lowest with 3% of all recorded crimes.
