The death of the defendant seems to be all that some of the victim's families want, but I feel that it would not solve anything. Executing Cruz will not bring any of the victims back. Instead, it will just add length to the painful trial that everyone is going to have to endure. The families who are angry and have their hearts set on revenge should keep in consideration that what Cruz may go through in prison will be far worse than a quick death.

If someone goes and take another organism's life, their life should be taken as well. They should suffer, they should feel the pain that they put one another through. They should die a slow, gruesome death. People shouldn't have to think twice about the death penalty when it comes down to someone actually deserving to be put through the death penalty. Death penalty not only acquires justice to families, but it also forces the violator to contemplate on what they have really done. They should think about how it would have had an impact on them as well as other people surrounding them, including families of others. I think it's totally fair. Treat others the way you want to be treated.
