The Vision Board is visioning…… 😝🤲🏼

Hi peeps!

I am Nurul Anis Afza Mat Ghani, you can call me Anis. I am from Terengganu.

It's been awhile since I talked about my goals, directly I got a chance to talk about it and make me think what I really want for myself... and can I achieve it?

Honestly, I still cannot believe that I survived all the hardships since my Degree has started. One day I thought I was the strongest human in the world but the other day made me question myself and contemplate what I really want to be. Thank you for all the struggles and hard days because those days convinced me to become a better person as I am today.

My plan after graduation is to rest but at the same time send my resume to the potential companies that I want. Degree's life is fun with a few bumps but I enjoyed it!

From my vision board, you can see that I want to achieve a lot of new things for my future. My main goals are for my Mama and family, I believe my success from my past days until today, and even for my future is because of my Mama and family. I always want to see their smile because of me, including my success, my achievements or even my dumb jokes. The main priority or goal is to make sure that my Mama and family are happy and always grateful for my existence.

As my Degree is nearing to an end, my other main goal is to graduate with flying colours results. I want to have a stable job and life as soon as I can because I want to spoil myself, my Mama and family. I am very determined to reach this goal as my dreams are to buy my all-time favourite car, Mercedes G-Wagon in matte black and open my own coffee's cafe. As a coffee lover, having a coffee's cafe is the best achievement that I can get.

Travelling and joining concerts of my favourite artists will be a flex!! I never got any chances to do any of these goals as I don't have my own money yet. By putting the pictures in my vision board, I believe and..... a little bit desperate that I want to achieve that goal so badly!!! I definitely want to enjoy my young life and use it as hard as I can so that I do not have anything to regret in my life. Whatever it is, I will make sure that I visit Istanbul!

Lastly, there are a lot of goals that I want to achieve, but the board is already full..... One of the best parts of my vision board is the picture with my loves, my friends. As I grow older, what I learn the most is appreciating people that love you! I am blessed with friends that always love, support and comfort me when I am at my lowest point of my life. I survived all the hardships that I had to face because of these people. I love them so much and OF COURSE they love me too hehe.

Why did I not include marriage in my vision board? For me, it is not a priority yet as I want to get what I want for myself first... the right time will come, right? Anyways, I will be the best version of myself and achieve these goals, for sure! That's all for my journal for this week. Thank you so much for your time! See you again <3

-AA-

Powtoon Exercise ✨

Recently, I got the chance to use Powtoon for a class task, and it was quite an adventure! At first, I was a bit intimidated. They have tons of templates, but unfortunately I had to pay for the templates. After all, I picked a template that was free and matched my project and got to work. The best part was getting creative. Powtoon lets you add characters, props, and backgrounds with just a few clicks. I had fun experimenting with different styles and making my task look unique. The drag-and-drop feature made it easy to place elements exactly where I wanted them.

Of course, there was a bit of a learning curve. I had to watch a few tutorials to get the hang of things, but Powtoon has plenty of resources to help out. Once I got the basics down, I felt pretty confident navigating the platform.

Week 2 was very fun as I was assigned to create a 30-second video titled “If I Had a Million Dollars, I Would….” by using Powtoon. Ever daydream about what you would do if you had a million dollars? I do all the time! In the video I highlighted about wanting to:

Travel the World

First off, I would travel all around the world. I am talking about exploring the buzzing streets of Tokyo, diving into the history of Rome, and chilling on the stunning beaches of Bali. There’s so much out there to see, eat, and experience – I want to do it all!

Own a Coffee Café

Next up, I would love to own a little coffee café. Picture this: a cozy spot where people can hang out, read a book, or just catch up with friends over a delicious cup of coffee. The place would smell amazing with the aroma of fresh coffee beans, have some chill music in the background, and feel super welcoming.

Attend Concerts

And of course, I would hit up as many concerts as possible. There’s nothing like the vibe of live music; the energy, the connection with the artists, and just rocking out with other fans. From small gigs to huge stadium shows, I want to see all my favourite bands and discover new ones too.

So, that’s my million-dollar daydream. While it is fun to dream, it also inspires me to work towards these goals, even if it takes a little longer to achieve them.

All in all, using Powtoon was a fantastic experience. It made my class task more fun and creative, and I learned a lot about making engaging presentations. If you have not tried it yet, I totally recommend giving Powtoon a shot for your next project. It is a game-changer!

Hope you like it!

-AA-

Instructional Design 🔛🔝

Hey there! Have you ever wondered how some online courses, training programs, or educational materials are so engaging and effective? The magic behind this is something called instructional design. Let’s dive into what it is and why it is so awesome!

So, first and foremost, what is Instructional Design?

Instructional design is all about creating educational experiences that help people learn better. Think of it as a blend of teaching skills and design know-how. It involves planning, developing, and delivering content in a way that makes learning easy and fun.

Personally, I think it is very important because in today’s fast-paced world, we are constantly learning new things, whether for school, work, or personal growth. Good instructional design ensures that this learning is efficient, effective, and enjoyable. It helps people grasp complex concepts, retain information, and apply what they have learned in real-life situations.

ADDIE Model:

Analyse: Understand who your learners are, what they need to know, and the best way to teach them.

Design: Plan the content, structure, and activities. This is where you decide how to present the information.

Development: Create the actual materials – videos, slides, quizzes, and more.

Implementation: Deliver the content to your learners. This could be through an online course, a workshop, or another format.

Evaluation: Assess how well the learners are understanding and retaining the information. Use this feedback to improve the course.

Instructional designers use a variety of tools to create engaging content. Some popular ones include, Canva: Handy for designing visually appealing slides and graphics. The other tools are Powtoon or Animaker: Awesome for animated presentations. These tools are very useful for me as well, I used them all the time!

One of the best things about instructional design is the creativity involved. I get to mix and match different media, experiment with interactive elements, and come up with innovative ways to present information. Plus, it is incredibly rewarding to see people benefit from the materials I have created.

Instructional design is a fantastic field that combines creativity, education, and technology. Whether you are a teacher, trainer, or just someone who loves to help others learn, diving into instructional design can be incredibly fulfilling.

Hope this explanation helps you get a better understanding of instructional design!

-AA-

30-seconds of Podcast Introduction ‼️

Hey everyone,

I was assigned to make a 30-seconds of Podcast’s Introduction using Audacity. It was a truly new experience for me since I never had any experience in editing audio recordings before this. I chose Friendship’s Breakup as my topic, I want to share a deeply personal topic that many of us have experienced at some point. It’s tough, it’s emotional, and it’s often unexpected. And for that, I turned to my trusty companion: the Audacity website.

At first, I started to look for free music from Free Music Archives (FMA), wrote my introduction and started to record it with my phone’s voice recorder. After recording, it was time to edit. Audacity offers a range of powerful tools that are surprisingly easy to use. I could cut out awkward pauses, remove background noise, and even add some gentle background music to set the mood. The timeline interface made it easy to see my audio waves and make precise edits.

What makes a podcast truly special is the personal touch. Audacity allowed me to add intros and outros to my podcast, making it feel polished and professional. I even experimented with different effects like fading in and out, which added a nice touch to transitions between segments. Once I was happy with my podcast, exporting the final file was a breeze. Audacity supports a variety of file formats, so I was able to save my podcast as an MP3, which is perfect for sharing on different platforms. Using Audacity to create this podcast was a cathartic experience. I highly recommend giving Audacity a try. It’s user-friendly, versatile, and best of all, it’s free!

Thank you for taking the time to read my post. If you’ve gone through a friendship breakup, it’s okay! We can do this! Let’s support each other through the highs and lows of life.

Until next time,

-AA-

Hello everyone,

I was assigned to produce a podcast and upload it in Soundcloud with my friends, Dayini and Asyikin. We chose a topic about Thoughts on Relationships: Cheating.

In our podcast, we wanted to share diverse perspectives on relationships and the delicate topic of cheating, we dive deep into the complexities of relationships. If you listened to our podcast, we characterised each one of us.

Dayini is a someone who has never been in a relationship since birth, Dayini offered a thoughtful and analytical viewpoint. She talked about the societal expectations placed on individuals to be in relationships and how this pressure can sometimes lead to compromising one’s values. Dayini believed that understanding oneself and what one wants in a partner is crucial before entering a relationship. She also reflected on the importance of trust and honesty, drawing from her observations of friends and family.

Asyikin is someone with a history of being in relationships that ended due to cheating, Asyikin’s story was both raw and relatable. She opened up about the emotional turmoil she went through and how she eventually found the strength to move on. Asyikin emphasised the importance of self-worth and not settling for less than what one deserves. Her journey of healing and self-discovery was a testament to the human spirit’s resilience.

Anis Afza(me) who is currently in a relationship, I provided a fresh perspective on maintaining trust and intimacy. Most of the time in the podcast, I was the one who asked questions related so that I can improve my understanding on my relationship and the importance of open communication, setting clear boundaries, and being honest with each other. I believed that a strong relationship is built on mutual respect and understanding. I also discussed the challenges that can arise and how to work together to overcome them.

We also discussed about communication is the key any healthy relationship. Whether it’s discussing boundaries, expressing feelings, or addressing issues, talking openly can prevent misunderstandings and build trust. Other than that, we discussed about self-worth and respect, trust and honesty. This podcast was an eye-opening and heartfelt discussion on relationships and cheating. Whether you’re single, have been in past relationships, or are currently in one, I hope this podcast provides valuable perspectives and sparks thoughtful reflection.

Thank you for your time!

-AA-

The activity for Week 6 was creating a E-Courseware Analysis using Google Sites. Me and my group mates, Asyikin, Dayini, Arissha and Farzana have to create a lesson for chosen learners to understand our topic. We chose a topic about Continuous Tenses for low English language proficiency learners, adult learners (18-20 years old), and beginners level.

By doing this assessment, it gave me a historical flashback about my diploma years where I had to create lesson plans, exercises and activities for my students. It was miserable but it made me feel better doing this assessment since I used to do it all over the years! Fuhh! After all, we managed to finish it by discussing what to do and include in our Google Sites.

My job was explaining the lesson, I needed to make a lesson video and uploaded it on my YouTube channel, also embedded it to the Google Sites. Again, a flashback! Other than that, I was in charge to make sure our Google Sites functioning properly, and easily accessible to everyone.

After all the headaches to understand the site, we birthed a website! Wohoooooo! I was totally relieved after all the sweat and tears that went through the process. It’s okay because I knew we can do it and of course, we are slayingggg until the end hihihi.

Using Google Sites helped our lesson more complex, advanced and understandable as we provided all of the lesson, exercises and videos of explanations for each of the sections to make sure the students can learn and understand what we wanted to teach and deliver.

This week’s assessment gave me a lot of insight into how I can improve my skills if I chose to be a teacher one day, we’ll see about that later, okay… 🤯

That’s all for now, thank you so much for your time to read my yapping 😝

-AA-
