--Well first we had to figure out what age range out audience must have.
--Then we talked about how far the that range should take. (For example: Whether we wanted it to just keep it to local to Pullman or go as far Moscow) We decided to keep it as local as possible
--After that we talked about how we were going to get the attention of our audience. We decided to do "Art"

-We discussed multiple options for a name. Many of our original ideas had to do with pop culture, and probably would have appealed more to an older audience.
- We decided upon Sunshine Arts because we thought that it would appeal to the younger generation which is our target audience. We think that it embodies the lighthearted and positive environment of our organization.

Our overall mission was to provide people with the opportunity to find a career or passion within the art world. The philosophy of Sunshine Arts Community is that every person has creative intellect, it is just a matter of unlocking your potential.

We did not have many direct competitors; however, we must compete with schools that focus on acquiring students with an art background. The budget at a school, such as the Seattle Institute of art and design, is higher and can get its name out to a larger audience.

Several aspects of the SWOT analysis will be described in the following.

Strengths include little competition and a strong media presence.

Weaknesses are being drowned out in a world of art schools that focus on getting students to study with them.

Opportunity includes our target market of young adults and prospective adults who want to find artistic passion.

Threats include art schools or other art programs that may draw our target audience away from our community.

For Sunshine Arts Community, the core message is to help all people become confident with their creativity to help their community. We believe that involving your passion or career in art with the local community is a great way to better your environment while also bettering yourself. At Sunshine Arts Community, we want to ensure we give people the resources to achieve this.

6. Defined your Customer -

Created a profile of your ideal customer by outlining characterizations, level of awareness, goals and motivations, challenges and frustrations, and media usage habits
-We created our customer profile starting with two potential customers, a 16 year old male and a 45 year old female. Both interested in the idea of arts during their free time.
- Our company is community based, therefore our audience was very broad and we needed to work together to appeal to different ages (which is why we started with two potential customers that live completely different lives)
-We were aware that younger ages (pre-teens to mid 20's) would gravitate towards Instagram media posts, while adults in their late 20's to 50's would gravitate towards the Facebook route, which is why we chose Facebook and Instagram as our two media outlets.
-We wanted to create awareness throughout the community of Pullman. We used ideas of group art sessions for families or friend groups, but also left options open for a soloist to come in and express themselves.
-The pandemic is general was a frustrating issue to consider. We were aware that SACC could not physically be open, therefore we knew we needed to work harder on our social media than we had planned. We fixed this issue to emphasizing holiday projects and crafts that could be completed at home. We wanted to bring a bit of SACC home with them, by providing popular crafts we enjoy ourselves.
-Our posts were very appealing to our target consumers, and we were sure to make our posts very personal becase after all; we are community based.

7. Planned a Strategy -

Completed a customer decision process grid outlining an ideal customer’s behavior as they journey through stages of engagement with your organization (awareness > consideration > purchase > loyalty > advocacy). Then, established a plan and vision for your website and social media engagement strategy.

-We completed the customer decision process by targeting single youth individuals and married adult individuals with families, both located in Pullman WA (or really the Palouse in general)
-We are aware Pullman (and the Palouse area) is a smaller town, meaning community can be tighter than ever before.. especially with the help of a community arts center that makes customers feel at home.
-The journey throughout the stages began with identifying who our competitors were. We took note on things we liked (such as community art projects at the middle school) and we also took note on how we could stand out in a more drastic way, such as hosting art classes and allowing private art sessions to be scheduled.
-We began our awareness by crated our social media outlets, and following local Pullman residents and local art communities as well.
-Our campaign #1 was helpful in pushing the consideration, due to the fact we still did not have as many consumers as we hoped.
-We started getting towards the ideal purchase stage when consumers were reaching out to us, wishing that something like SACC existed in Pullman because they could purchase a space to do art with their family.
-By campaign #2, I felt more confident we had a loyal following. We were able to make our posts much more personable, knowing our loyal viewers were watching and engaging.
-At this point, if not already we are very close to the advocacy stage of our organization. We are well established and social media has been the biggest part of that.
-Our plan and vision relatively just fell into place. We had a clear idea of what we wanted SACC to be, and our website and social media channels reflect that.

Sunshine Arts Community
-We all really had fun with this part of the project. We are really proud of the way that our website turned out, and we think that overall this was excellent experience for us. Writing the blog posts helped us think critically about what our target audience would want to hear from us, and we got to learn something new during the process of writing our posts. Using Google Analytics and managing the social media platforms was tricky to get used to, but we think that this was great experience for us.

Designed two digital campaign strategies including the community of interest analysis, content strategy, campaign messaging, editorial calendar, and plan for monitoring campaign effectiveness through various metrics points. Implemented your campaigns including blog posts, social media posts, paid ads, and emails.

-This part of the project was lots of work, but also very important to the success of the overall campaign. Many people overlook the importance of what goes on behind the scenes and the importance of outreach to establish brand awareness. Social media is a really great way to increase awareness and should be a key part to any campaign. Our editorial calendars helped us stay on track and provided a visualized plan for what needed to be done work wise for the campaign and who was going to work on what. Our social media and blog posts were fun too, because they provided an opportunity to be creative and experiment/try different things to see what works. We learned a lot throughout this process and it was a cool experience to see how all of these moving parts come together and can affect the end results.

While we may have thought that our engagement would have been higher, we are happy with the numbers that we ended with. It was so cool to see the ways in which our advertising was successful- for example getting engagements on social media from outside accounts and watching which posts were having the most success.
