         <description><![CDATA[<p class="MsoNormal">Random House, Inc. (1975)</p><p class="MsoNormal"><br></p><p class="MsoNormal">This book promotes imagination.  This book gives a different situation for each page, and says “You can think of (situation)”.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>It gives random, ridiculous things that happen.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>The pictures are great because they all involve these creatures, lots of colors, and interesting settings.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>I think children would love this book because it really allows them to use their imagination.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>I think it is almost better to read from a child’s point of view than an adults, because children will not think it is as weird and out there.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp;C</span>hildren will probably love the creativity and situations in this made up world in the novel.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>The book tells kids to think up things, no matter how ridiculous they may seem.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>It also, in some parts, calls them to ask questions and to wonder about things.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>It wants kids to be curious for information.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp;All of these messages are great for kids! </span></p>]]></description>

         <title>Miss Dorothy and Her

         <description><![CDATA[<p>HarperCollins (2011)</p><p class="MsoNormal"><br></p><p class="MsoNormal">This book is based on a real story about a girl, Dorthy, who loved to read and wanted to be a librarian.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>She went to college in hopes of being one, but then she got married and moved to the mountains of North Carolina.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>The town did not have a library, so the community decided she would drive a bookmobile and be the librarian.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>She spread the joy of reading to the people in the community and inspired kids to see the world and follow their dreams.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>In the end, the community built her a building for her library.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>She grows up and receives letters from the kids, who are now adults, thanking her inspiring them.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>The books illustrations were beautiful in this book.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>They were realistic, but looked like watercolors.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>The theme of this book can be interpreted in multiple ways.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; The main theme or message I got from this book is the importance of having an imagination and creativity.  However, there were also messages about the importance of reading, </span>sharing, inspiring others, and service to others.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span></p>]]></description>
