Students do not always want to take this step in their learning so it is great that there are resources such as Google Docs that let the teacher see the results of an exit ticket while also seeing how many students answered the questions and put in the work. There first needs to be very clear and explicit expectations given from the teacher. Students then should self-assess. This is where I thought the cycle ends but we need to take it one step further and apply the understanding.
