My brother had been doing lessons and I was always there, so they decided to have me join him. After starting lessons I continued on to join a Catholic League for my Church, then a club team, and finally the High School swim team. My whole family travelled to go see her. We stayed in San Diego for about a week, and it was really nice to spend time with her because we only saw her at Christmas and summer break. At the time we had no idea that it would be our final one. Since in my choir class I was one of the ‘class officers’ I hosted our winter concert. I was very nervous to do this because I never had a solo or had to talk to a crowd by myself. While walking out to introduce the first act I was shaking slightly, but after I did it I realized it wasn’t that big of a deal. We practiced every Sunday to prepare. I was very excited to do first communion because it felt like to me that I was becoming a real part of the Church because I was taking the Body of Christ.
