         <description><![CDATA[<div>This photo represents the battle of Queenston heights. This battle started on the 13th of October 1812 when the Americans tried to invade upper Canada through the town of Queenston.  You can see in the painting,  Major-general Sir Issac Brock has been shot while attacking the Americans. This painting is not historically accurate this does however show Britain's ability to put talented leaders with well trained troops on the battleground. This is the main painting of the Canadian war of 1812.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>During the battle of queenston heights this war coat was worn by Major-general sir Issac Brock. Just below the left lapel is the bullet hole that he died from.  Despite a lack of troops and other resources he was able to successfully defended the colony and captured Detroit in august of 1812. Even after he died you could tell he was considered a true hero because he was the face of high school army recruitment.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The war of 1812 was a militarily conflict in between the United States and Great Britain. Canada was brought into this conflict and several of the wars were fought in Upper Canada, Lower Canada, on the Great Lakes and the Atlantic, and in the United States. It eventually came to an end in 1814 when the peace treaty of Ghent was signed. This war grew the identity of Canadians as a country. As well for the Canadian on soldiers who did a very good ob in fighting off the Americans. Both sides suffered several loses. As a final act it halted the Americans from spreading west. Despite this there were still tensions between Britain and america which ramped up the american civil war neared.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>There were four main Canadians at play throughout the war of 1812. Isaac Brock was a general in charge of upper Canada he was short recourse as well as troops but he captured Detroit. Later to be killed during battle in the Niagara frontier in October 1812.  Laura Secord walked 32 kilometre to inform the Canadians of an ambush from the Americans. Charles de Salaberry was a who made his career in the British Army. Mookomaanish  was a chief who fought along side the Canadians and British. </div>]]></description>

All three were powerful enough to win the war of 1812. </div>]]></description>

In this battle Mr. Brock was shot while commanding his troop against the Americans during the battle of Queenston heights in October 13 1812. As seen in the picture the hole below his tie is the musket ball enter wound that killed this general. </div>]]></description>
