PATTERNS IN OUR MIND

Since we were kids we would create patterns of how to behave, what to do and not do, how to look for society to accept us as individuals. We would also create patterns of situations that we have experienced from traumas or difficult times in our lives and we carry them until now. It is possible to feel down or anxious even if nothing bad is happening in our lives because we carry around emotional or traumatic load in our minds we do not need. The problem is that sometimes the patterns are so strong that people cannot stand being by themselves or alone as that is the time for the mind to become louder. That is why we subconsciously created coping mechanisms in order to stop feeling this imbalance or agitation. Notice that in the times of discomfort we go and have something to eat to make us feel better (sugar is huge modern day drug for this), or we buy something or call someone or go out as we cannot stand all this subconscious load in our heads. But these are only patterns we created. I don't feel good, let me buy something - is a coping mechanism pattern. But this is only one example of patterns we have, these could also be negative patterns etc. Once we start realising what is happening in our mind it may surprise us of how are we used to create negative or self-destructive situations and thoughts as we were thought by society to always expect the worst or prepare for the worst, or society telling us we are not good enough by showing us imaginary of how should perfect person look like. When we observe the mind long enough, we discover more and more patterns and can see how quickly they happened to react to situations. We can almost start to understand that overthinking is an addiction keeping us insane.
