1. Self-concept: In this step, teachers will learn how to take advantage of the technology. They will learn that technology can be used in a variety of ways to assist in pedagogy. In addition, they will understand where their strengths
and weaknesses are in the area of technology integration.
2. Adult Learner Experience: In this step teachers will reflect on their previous professional development sessions. This will allow the instructional flow of the professional development to cater towards their learning and serve as a more beneficial way of ensuring the teachers needs are met.
3. Readiness to Learn:
In this step, upon collecting and receiving information of teacher's previous PD experiences, I plan on introducing them to proper resources and applications which cater to the overall classroom learning experience. Teachers will have a say in providing feedback to the resources introduced.
4. Orientation to Learning: In this portion, teachers will be introduced to the centered problem. Teachers will have a chance to share out about their experiences regarding the centered problem. In addition, the resources introduced will assist in helping to resolve the centered problem.
5. Motivation to Learn: In this step, teachers will be successfully trained on the resource/application. They will be provided with a hands-on experience with the technology which will assist in allowing them to display proficiency with it.

Benefits of Andragogy(Malcom Knowles)

After researching Malcom Knowles concept of andragogy, I have found this to be very beneficial in the education environment. In "Knowles 4 Principles of Andragogy" the one that stands out with me the most is, "Adults need to be involved in the planning and evaluation of their instruction." (Papas, 2013)
Too many times in professional developments, teachers and other support staffs voices are not heard. This creates a problem in the process of implementing successful classroom instruction. In order for a PD to be successful, it must be connected to what is happening in the classroom and teachers must be able to have a say.
In addition, this can have a positive affect in the classroom by assisting in building the confidence of teachers as it comes to resources. Too many times, teachers are required to use resources that they lack training for. In addition, the resource may not be very effective on the issues they are facing in the classroom. Allowing teachers to state their voice and opinion allows them to become a stakeholder in the success of the PD.
