Source 2:

I can infer that the education aspect of life was affected, people were able to form bonds of friendship during the Japanese occupation despite life being very difficult. This can be seen from the account adapted by Lim Choo Sye, a teacher during the Japanese occupation, "because we were under enemy occupation, we were all friends. It was during the Japanese occupation that we had the opportunity to make friends with teachers from the Chinese, Malay, Tamil-medium schools. It was the first time I learnt about other people — how they lived, their difficulties, and their problems."

Source 34, page 40 of History Textbook

Source 3:

I can infer that during the Japanese occupation the aspect of life for people in Singapore led harsh lives. This can be seen from the account adapted by Joseph Sean, "my mother got beaten up badly because she didn't want to bow to the guard." Therefore I can infer the aspect of life for people in Singapore we're harsh.

Source 24, page 33 of History Textbook

Source 4:

I can infer that during Japanese occupation , they try to make use of every part of the food that they eat. Adapted from an account by Abu Bakar bin Ali , a worker in a Japanese shipyard during the Japanese Occupation. " Even the skin from a cempedak can be eaten. The seed which is hard , can be boiled until it becomes soft and edible . You can even eat the she's of ground nuts "

Source 33 , page 39 from Textbook
