The Articles of Confederation were written by John Dickinson. They established the functions of national government after the United States declared independence from England. However, there were many flaws in the type of national government this document created. For example, there was no standing army, a weak executive branch, no ability for the government to tax the people or spend money, and there were problems of international standing. Finally, Congress could not regulate foreign or state trade.

The Articles of Confederation were wrote by John Dickinson. The purpose of the Articles was to prevent the states from becoming the British government that they had just rebelled from. But, there were many flaws in the government that this document would create. Congress could make laws, but could not enforce them. And, to pass a law, 9 of 13 states had to vote yes. Congress also had no power of taxation. Another flaw was that there was no common currency between the states. There was no executive or judicial branch either. These flaws resulted in the replacement of the Articles for the Constitution we still have today.

John Dickinson wrote the Articles of Confederation. The purpose of this document was to establish a national government for the United States, away from the monarchy of England. This document helped state governments limit the power of the national congress. But there were some flaws with this plan, as congress was too limited. Congress had no power to raise taxes, no power to regulate foreign or state trade, and Congress didn't have the power to enforce laws. Also, laws had to be approved by 9 out of 13 states, and the United States had no standing army.

The purpose of this document was to establish the national government after the colonies declared independence from England. There was some flaws with this plan as there was no power to tell the states what to do. The executive branchcould not enforce laws. Legislative congress controlled government. They also did not have the power to raise taxes. Another flaw is that the plan did not provide a main military to protect the nation.

The Articles of Confederation was a document written by John Dickinson that was meant to define the government and it's powers as well as the states and their powers. It was supposed to represent a government stronger and greater than that of England. However, it was seen as a failure for many reasons. Congress had no power to tax, there was no national currency, there was no federal court, the states were the ones that impacted people more, not the federal government, as well many other different problems. Soon after, the Constitution was created to replace this

Some of the problems in the type of government that the articles of confederation created were
•congress was the central government ( made foreign affairs, makes treaties, declare war, and coin money).
•the articles were impossible to amend, so problems couldn't be fixed.
•lacked commerce regulation.
•federal government was strangled by the lack of power given to continental congress.
•congress couldn't levy taxes or regulate trade.
