I still have the list to make. What I know I want -- is an imaginative and philosophical story with some different page sizes and a fold-out or two.

I want to upload multiple photos, but the ways I’ve tried I can only upload one photo at a time. What’s the trick?

Thanks for the hints. I ended up using Canva to work it out. These are some sketches I did for my book, which will show characters from some Internal Family Systems work I have been doing. There are a few characters I still need to sketch, but I am eager to move on to lesson 2!

her nest on our front porch light 8 years ago. Every year she returns and has 3 babies. These birds are TINY & it's difficult for me to understand how they can fly so far and always return to the exact nest on our front porch light in Northern Idaho!

is folded - the pages will be out of order.

I'm not sure the fold out is going to work and I have 2 more pages I am trying to figure out, but liking it so far. It's changed quite a bit from the house I had in the beginning and will probably change again!

P.S. I tried to drag all the images in like Carla shared the link to and couldn't make it work at all so these are edited into one big image in photoshop!

The first spread is the back cover/cover followed by Pages 1 through the Inside Back Cover.

My idea is an owl fashion show of sorts using drawings of different textures/visuals of owls. It also has tidbits of info. from research about the subject scattered throughout. There is a flip element too (the owl in a tux on one page and the owl with a patterned exterior on the next page).

The story setting is supposed to be a tree at night. That said, I'm trying to figure out how to achieve contrast if I use black or a dark color for the sky--so the subject pops (especially the one on the lower right). Does anyone have any suggestions? Change the time of day to twilight or daytime?

I wish you had a full video on scanning your art and what software you like to use and how you line everything up for printing. (You briefly mentioned using transparency to line things up but that was all I caught on the process)

--What settings do you scan your images at?

--Do you ever adjust the colors manually or just trust the process?

--Do you convert your images to PDF or do print from PNGs?

--Do you ever shrink your art to make the image tighter or do you always aim for 1 to 1 printing?

--What stock do you print on for final project? Do you ever make your cover gloss and interior matte, etc?

I have an idea of how to do it based on books and zines I have made in the past but I was hoping this class would be sharing some of those insights.

You're amazing detailed in your work, and it looks lovely. I haven't been able to figure out how to cut edges that will work with the imagery I've created. But I love the idea of it and your work!

So, printing seems a better alternative (providing you can find the right printer). That said, then Pages 1 and 2, 3 and 4, 5 and 6, etc. would need to be printed two-sided.

Do you know of markers or paint pens that don't bleed that could be used for a single zine creation?

Not wanting to do all my sheets again, I'm wondering if you think it would work to glue them to Bristol Vellum. I think that would work for printing the zine, correct? But it seems to me that it wouldn't work for a single original zine on my multi-media paper, unless the type of color added is with colored pencils or paint markers, etc.

Do you have any thoughts on this?
