NCTC National counter terrorism center

Our organization's name is the NCTC or the National Counter Terrorism center. This organization is significant because it is one of the biggest anti terrorism organizations in the world.
The founders of this organization are John Brennan under direction of president George W Bush. To this day the President appoints the NCTC director. This director is the principle advisor on intelligence operations where they report to the director of national intelligence (DNI) The Director of the NCTC is currently Nick Rasmussen who's previous experience involved  providing staff support to the president. He is also the National Security Advisor and Homeland Security Advisor on counterterrorism policy and strategy.
The Deputy Director of the NCTC is John Mulligan. His previous role in this organization was to detect and disrupt terrorism around the world. Mr. Mulligan was rewarded with both the meritorious civilian service award and the exceptional civilian service award.
The Director of the NCTC is Tricia Wellman. She has most recently served as the Deputy Assistant Director of National Intelligence for Policy and Strategy and the intelligence community (IC)Information Sharing and Safeguarding Executive. In this position she oversaw the creation and enforced policy and strategy for a variety of intelligence issues. The current staff includes more than one thousand personel from IC, the federal government, and federal contractors.

One of the goals of this organization is to increase the amount of information that is shared with the intelligent community, including the federal government. They do this by providing integerancy forums that are linked national level counter terrorism policy. This allows them to strategically operationalize their objective and tasks to prevent terrorism. 
another goal is to delegate responcibilities to other departments to optimize the effectiveness of plans and laws.
The Terrorist identities DataMart enviorment (TIDE) is maintained by the NCTC to keep organized with all possible terrorism signs including dates of birth, biometric information, pictures, names, and why they are suspected of terrorism. The NCTC receives information from law enforcement and they send it through to TIDE which is an analythic tool and a database. the NCTC uses the information in TIDE to support screening activities across the USG. 
The NCTC makes sure that other agencies with CT missions gets information about terrorist groups needed to stop them in their way. Some planning methods of the NCTC include strategic plans to get better coordination on key issues. NCTC also leads interagency task forces to analyze, monitor, and eliminate potential terrorist attacks.

This allowed NCTC to integrate analysis, organize information sharing, encouraged situational awareness implement strategic operational planning.
The NCTC has access to both the domestic and foreign terrorism information. With this information the NCTC are able to access plans, intentions, and emerging threats to US interest at home and abroad.
By law the NCTC is the primary go to agency in the American government to analyze and pursue potential threats.
