The event marks the launch of the Children's Services Plan 2026-29, bringing together organisations, children, young people and families to celebrate the shared commitment to improving outcomes for children and families. Open to children of all ages and their families, the day will feature a range of free activities, opportunities to connect with local services, and refreshments provided throughout the event.

The service provides trauma-informed money and debt advice to women experiencing economic abuse — including support with coerced debt, benefits, and financial hardship. It also delivers training to professionals to improve understanding of economic abuse and strengthen responses to survivors.

Since launching in 2022, the service has supported more than 700 women and almost 1,000 children, securing £2.7 million in financial gains through benefits and other sources of support.

What this means in practice:

• The perpetrator of domestic abuse can be removed from the tenancy

• The victim-survivor can be given the tenancy in their own name and continue living in, or return to, the family home

• Victim-survivors have more choice to make the decision to remain in their home

These changes move all social landlords towards a more victim-centred tenancy model and represent a significant step forward in supporting survivors to access safe, stable housing.

We operate on a referral basis, and professional services such as health, education, social, or other support agencies working with families with children from birth to 18 years who require support can complete our referral form by clicking the image above. We aim to get our care packages to the family within one week. However, we understand that sometimes referrals can be an emergency. If you have a family that requires items urgently, you can add that it’s an emergency on your form.

​The purpose of the Highland Food Activity Map is to help people find where they can buy and access food across the region. It is not to advertise hospitality businesses. The map is for organisations within the Highland Council region who align with the Highland Good Food Charter.
