It was another great walk to school in the humid, dim air. Though the sun wasn’t shining its optimism on all that were outside on this fine day, I still had it in me. For, as long as you are positive, everyday it is great. Including today. The birds still sang and the grass still swayed, and the leaves still were a brilliant green, and everything was great, since I said it was.

As I move my feet, one after the other, walking out of the school doors. There's nothing I want more on a Monday afternoon. I watch the sky, the birds flying by, as if they are here to greet me. The trees, swaying with the wind, as if waving at me with their leaves, saying hello. I reach my neighborhood, I feel happy, as I am home now!

If only I could get the energy to go and grab the handle but I just could not. “IS ANYBODY THERE.” There was no response. I could hear something creeping closer. The wood was creaking under its feet and its claws were taping on the door knob like nails on a chalkboard.

As the sun fell to the ground during late afternoon I walked outside to adore nature. As soon as I sat down on the swing I heard a cry from not far away. I knew it was coming from outside. I had no idea where it was coming from. I noticed a bird stuck wing to wing across a tree. I climbed the tree and managed to get the bird down to safety.

Life hurts but also heals. Kindness is what moves and heals us. Recently my mom and I had an accident. A truck hit our car on highway and fled. But thanks to stranger’s help, we weren’t hurt. Later while looking for a replacement car, we met a car owner who was a veteran and had been taking care of his mom, now 102-year-old, for decades. I was deeply moved by his kindness.

The last Sunvern was centuries ago.”

The nearly-hatched dragon can feel its parent's panic, but it can also feel the power of the suns.
