In addition to these behaviors, his life activities are also centered around his uncontrolled drinking. All of Ryan's symptoms and behaviors have been consistent for well over a 12 month period.</p><p><br/></p><p>Physiological or physical dependence, according to our text occurs when the body chemistry has been altered so that withdrawal from the substance produces a physical reaction at the cellular level. <em>Psychological dependence</em> refers to the emotional or mental aspects of substance abuse disorder.</p><p><br/></p>]]></description>
