She sent me a text seeing if I wanted to hang out, I said YES! She then asked if I wanted to go to the zoo with her. Lily said she’d pick me up at 11:30. She was half an hour late to pick me up so I was anxiously waiting. We went with her little sister and mum. We arrived at around 12:15-12:30. I soon as we stepped out of the car I could smell the animal waste. That day the sun was shining which meant my sunglasses were on my head. We queued up for about 10 minutes. Lily dared her little sister Iris to stand on a tree trunk. When we went into the actual zoo and we were a bit overwhelmed. I was wearing jeans, a jumper and a jacket. I was also wearing my favourite trainers. As soon as we walked in we saw a little island surrounded by water. On the island were small monkeys on broken trees we then looked at the large map. The map was the shape of a giraffe.
First we saw female lions then a male lion. I won’t bore you with telling all the animals we saw but we saw orangutans which climbed over our heads on ropes.
We had lunch at the cafe which was costa.
My favourite bit was the reptile house. I was half an hour late. It wasn’t my fault my mum didn’t tell me when it was time to go and I didn’t know the time because my phone was down stairs and I have no clocks in my room. Another reason I was late is because my mum made me change what I was wearing because apparently a “short” skirt and a “let’s go surfing” t shirt so I had to change into black running legging even though I don’t run, a superdry hoodie and a green camo jacket I was also wearing some new trainers I got this morning.

Finally we got in the car and went and picked up Sophie from her house. We got out the car and walked from the car all the way to the entrance. We queued up for our tickets and I was really bored so I told my little sister iris to stand on a tree stump.we walked through the entrance right there in front of us was a mini island surrounded by water on it were broken trees playing in the trees were loads of cute black monkeys .we looked at them for a bit and then we looked at the map. It was in the shape of a giraffe head it was really cool.

Everyday I wore my black chunky salapets with button pockets . I also wore my big Superdry coat with a mint green hood and matted fur at the back . Unfortunately I had no zip pockets to put my phone in so I had to put it in a plastic bag and keep it in a button pocket .I also wore an under armour top and leggings under neath . In the morning I would go down to breakfast and get myself a cup of mango juice ,an egg and the most amazing chocolate granola . I would also have either a croissant or doughnut with Nutella on top . I would take this food from the breakfast buffet then sit down with my cousins and family to eat . I then would get my skiing equipment and take the first lift up on the Gondala where I would skii on the snowy mountain . After skiing I would usually have a hot chocate they had the most delicious hot chocalte you have ever tasted in this one cafe . It was quite sugary and was topped with whipped cream . My favourite thing to do on this holiday was to skii of piest I loved this because you could feel your skis run through the powdery snow and it would almost satisfy you . I loved the place where I was skiing because it was beautiful . The trees were so green and there would be small lumps of snow coating it . Another thing I loved was the views. I arrived Niamh soon followed, the night started with the four of us showing our dances from when we were younger, we then did each others makeup, all of us sweating like pigs after our dancing, at 12:00 it was time for the usual, a DMC ( deep meaningful conversation ) unfortunately we all had a lot to say and if ended up lasting until 4:30am

I spent Friday and Saturday in a cosy old farmhouse, with old fashioned decor and stiff, heavy doors. I slept in my usual room downstairs along the first hallway, second door on the left. The room was cosy, 3 beds all to myself, one for me, one to put my luggage on, and one for my dogs to curl up on. I banished Lottie, my sister, upstairs to sleep in her own room and started my weekend off by watching Love, Rosie, which I regret not watching before now because it was really good, Polly, who is becoming quite a star in all my stories, was of course snuggled up at my toes and Bruser lay on the floor chewing a bonio, I don't know how he ate those awful things, I was dared to take a bite of one in the summer and it was like hard cardboard mixed with rice, not a nice taste, if you were wondering. Well a few hours later Polly and I got bored, so we brought the duvet, the Netflix and our profiteroles upstairs. Five profiteroles later the movie was finished and my mum and stepdad came home from where they were having dinner. The fire was running out, I did it on purpose because I don't like fire, but my mum threw some more coal on the thing and it was blazing. So me and my family were all sitting around the fire and the TV, watching 'First Dates- Valentines' where someone called Jamie was telling his date about his deep love for Disney movies. We turned on Graham Norton after that, another family favourite of ours, and we all sat around, my sister, my mum, and my stepdad, 4 and 1/2 dogs curled up on our laps, a fire crackling away softly, another box of profiteroles sitting close by, and fluffy pajamas...... until it was all disrupted by the rhythmic sound of the fire alarm, the fire downstairs had gotten smoky because of the soggy would that had been put on it and the alarm kept going for the next 10 minutes, we would turn it off, it would start again, we would turn it off again and then it would start, very stressful as you can imagine. After being at Dublin Zoo for over 5 hours we decided to call it quits as we had seen everything Dublin Zoo had to offer. But then we looked at the map and Lily realized we hadn’t seen the reptile house so we were looking for it for agaves and we couldn’t find it on own map but we eventually found it.

I’m glad we went into the Reptile house because it was my favourite place in the whole zoo. In there were turtles who were definitely photo genic. Lily and I both took lots of photos all with different filters.

After going to the reptile house we finally left.

When we got back to Lily’s house we then went to Eddie Rockets at the end of her road.

That was my favourite day in the half term
