         <description><![CDATA[<div>The law “separate but equal” was denounced. ·&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;The Central School sets the high for diversity and excellence in the education. ·&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;The Little Rock Nine created a chain reaction in the Civil rights movement.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;In 1959 the little rock schools had reopened from being shut down for safety in 1958. The schools in 1959 the Little Rock schools had started letting students of all race come to the school.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

The local leader of the NAACP was a lady named Daisy Bates.</div><div>·&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Daisy recruited nine African-American high school students to enroll at Central High.</div><div>·&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Elizabeth Eckford, Minnijean Brown, Gloria Ray, Terrance Roberts, Ernest Green, Thelma Mothershed, Jefferson Thomas, Melba Patillo, and Carlotta Walls.<br><br></div><div>&nbsp;These students became known as the Little Rock Nine</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>· Students wanted to go to school with whites.<br>- They were carried in military Jeeps equipped with arms and were watched over by helicopters on their way to school becuase of the Hate that they got from whites.</div><div>· They were mistreated in school, death threats and N word</div><div>· One fought back and said “white trash.” She was expelled. Printed cards went around saying 1 down 8 to go.</div><div>· She was accepted at a school in New York.</div><div>- The rest made it through the year</div><div>· One of the students was a senior and the police, soldiers, Daisy Bates, and Martin Luther King Jr attended his graduation.</div><div>·&nbsp; “Smile no matter what.
