         <description><![CDATA[<div>Remembering their last steps<br><br>Cats served on ships being a mascots. They helped sailors catch or scare away mice/rats so they don't eat their food. Men and women sailed from Halifax to Nova Scotia to serve over seas. A wooden archway called The Last Steps (memorial of Halifax, Nova Scotia). Dozens of boot pints are burnt into the boardwalk. That symbolize the last steps of many soldiers that never returned home. More then half of Canada's the soldiers died in Flanders field in world war one.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Women and war<br><br>Women have played important roles in the military years.During the first South African war &amp; the first world war Canadian  women served the Nursing Sisters .In more recent times however they have come to work in all areas of Canadian Armed Forces.When Canadians served in Afghanistan from 2001- 2014, numbers of women did the same job as men like driving trucks flying warplanes, repairing engines, serving on warships, tending to wounds and patrolling on foot.More than 40,000 Canadian Armed Forces served in Afghanistan ,Unfortunately 158 of them died in the cause of peace. <br><br><br></div>]]></description>
