The 5th of november  is a British festivity, they celebrate the ''Bonfire Night''

Every 5th. November young people make a Guy with clothes, fill him with newspaper and them they burn it. This night are fireworks and big bonfires to burn on the streets. On this they eat toffee and apples.
This day, British people celebrate that on 5th. November 1605 a plot was discovered. A group of  cathilics  decided to kill the king, who was protestant, and destroy the Parliment Bulding.
Guy Fawkes was the responsible of the explosives but the King soldiers discovered him and three days later the other plotters and they were hanged.
Some people were happy that the plot was discovered, to celebrate they started bonfire on the street.

Conclusion:
Nowdays British people celebrate this festivity in memory of the plan of the plot failed.
