         <description><![CDATA[<div>- the pressure to make her draft finished, as to lessen the likelihood of being rejected&nbsp;<br>- she didn't make a lot of changes with the editors<br>- wrote essays defending her choices&nbsp;<br>- "A lot of interesting conversations came out of it", was sort of "bridge-building exercise"<br>- got readers that she didn't know to give genuine feedback<br>- watched what was being sold and made she he was able to accurately describe her work and show that it had a place in the publishing world</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>- Poetry as having "an elegance similar to math"<br>- With poetry you cannot be wrong vs. with math you can&nbsp;<br>- It's difficult with writing because you don't necessarily know why something works<br>"Be playful. Math is playful so are words"&nbsp;<br>- Poetry and math both need constraints, and the elegance of figuring out how to do it within those constraints<br>- Writing is much more communal/casual than math/STEM<br>- Took first writing class in 2019, the same year she won London's Writer's Award<br>- Math background led to her ability to take time and think about the different ways/approaches in her writing</div>]]></description>
