! Hi! I enjoyed learning things about Costa Rica culture and how it’s different from the united states.  In Unit One I learned the days of the week and months of the year are not capitalized. Here in the US the weeks and months are capitalized. In unit 2 I learned the school year in Costa Rica is from February to December. In North Carolina it is from August-May! In unit 3 I learned having visible security is good while in the US we have “secret” security systems. In unit 4 I learned multiple generations live together. In the US that is less common! In unit 5 I learned Soccer is the most famous sport. In the US the most famous is football! In unit 6 I learned Coffee is a major crop grown. In North  Carolina we grow tobacco as a major crop. In unit 7 I learned cheerios is a popular cereal in Costa Rica Cheerios are also popular in the United States. I had a great time learning!

¡Hola! Me gusta aprender cosas sobre la cultura de Costa Rica y cómo es diferente de los estados unidos. En la Unidad Uno aprendí que los días de la semana y los meses del año no se capitalizan. Aquí en los Estados Unidos se capitalizan las semanas y los meses. En la unidad dos aprendí que el año escolar en Costa Rica es de febrero a diciembre. En Carolina del Norte es de agosto a mayo! En la unidad tres aprendí que tener seguridad visible es buena mientras que en los Estados Unidos tenemos sistemas de seguridad “secretos”. En la unidad cuatro aprendí que varias generaciones viven juntas. ¡En los Estados Unidos eso es menos común! En la unidad cinco aprendí que el fútbol es el deporte más famoso. ¡En los Estados Unidos el más famoso es el fútbol! En la unidad seis aprendí que el café es un cultivo importante que se cultiva. En Carolina del Norte cultivamos tabaco como cultivo principal. En la unidad siete aprendí cheerios es un cereal popular en Costa Rica Cheerios también son populares en los Estados Unidos. ¡Lo pasé de maravilla aprendiendo!
