Kenny bravely went inside the church to see if his sister was okay directly after it happened. When Kenny goes inside his mind flashes back to his drowning incident which confuses him and leaves him in shock as he goes back to his grandmas house. Confused, he finds Joey safe inside (she had left the church just before the bombing) and his family not knowing he went inside the church in the first place.
