         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Define Atherosclerosis.</strong><br>Atherosclerosis occurs when the arteries harden and become thick, sometimes restricting blood flow to vital organs and tissues.<br><br><strong>What causes atherosclerosis? </strong><br>Atherosclerosis is caused by a build up of fats, cholesterol and other substances in and on arterial walls, which can decrease overall artery flexibility as well as restricting blood flow.<br><br><strong>What types of foods can lead to atherosclerosis? </strong><br>Atherosclerosis is caused by high-cholesterol diets with foods high in fat such as butter, meats, full-fat cheese and milk, coconut and palm oils. It is also caused by smoking.<br><br><strong>Fact: </strong>The main diseases linked to atherosclerosis include coronary heart disease, carotid artery disease, peripheral artery disease, and chronic kidney disease.</div>]]></description>

HDL cleans the body by picking up unused cholesterol from artery walls.<br><br>What is LDL?<br>LDL stands for low density lipoprotein. LDL delivers cholesterol to the cells but when levels become high it forms a hard plaque on the artery wall.<br><br>A desirable level of cholesterol is below 200 mg/dL<br>borderline is 200-240 mg/dL<br>high risk is above 240 mg/dL<br><br></div>]]></description>

Then the airways become narrow significantly making it hard to breathe. Asthma is one of the most widespread health problem in Australia.
