Firstly, I have never taken care of plants before so this is a great opportunity for me to learn something new things such as interesting facts about plants which I have never known of, as well as how to grow plants in their best conditions. As we take our time to take care of the plants, we will understand the hardships of farmers growing crops and producing harvest. Then, we will learn how to better appreciate nature and the food that they provide us with. Next, through this fun activity, we can also make use of this opportunity to bond with our loved ones and become closer as we usually have very little time to spend with our family. This is very crucial as many people these days do not understand ths importance of family bonding. Hence, this 
acitivity can be seen as very beneficial in terms of appreciating nature and building family relationships.

It also open the eyes of the adolescent to where his food comes from and sparks deeper appreciation for his food in him ?,encouraging him not to waste food in the future as he now knows that effort and patience put in by farmers to put food on his plate. Additionally, this activity lets the participants to learn how to conduct gardening? or how to plant to get food. This is important in case this skill is needed in the future when food shortage may occur.

Firstly, Singapore is a small country and we depend on other countries to get out fruits and vegetables. Only a small amount of it is produced in Singapore. For those imported ones, we do not know what type of fertilizers they use and if they used any chemicals on it. Hence by growing them in Singapore, we can make sure that they are safe and hygienic. Even though we can rely on the other countries to import food to our country, we should still grow our own in case one day they decide to not import it to us. If we learn the skill, we can depend on ourselves and ensure that we have sufficient fruits and vegetables for our country. Secondly, we can learn to appreciate food. By experiencing the hard work needed to grow the crops properly, we will try to have empathy with the farmers, learn how must work and effort is needed to out in to grow the crops, and hence appreciate and treasure them even more. Hence, this activity is meaningful.

3. I agree to a large extent that hands-on experience is more empowering than studying facts from a book. Firstly, hands-on experience will allow us to learn better. Research has shown that learning by doing help humans perform better. An example of this is that students who physically experience scientific concepts understand them more deeply and score better on science tests. I am personally a slower learner, hence I find it easier for myself to understand and remember a topic or a subject through experience. 
Secondly, learning by doing allows students to become personally invested in their own learning process. Becoming actively engaged in their education builds confidence, as the lessons require students to rely on their own abilities to obtain knowledge. That confidence and self-reliance inspires children to embrace the learning process and enthusiastically seek out additional knowledge. 
Some may say that studying from books can ensure that accurate knowledges are learnt while hands-on experiences may lead to failure and not able to learn anything useful for it. However, hands-on learning allows students to experiment as they test concepts with tactile equipment, learning as much from their failures as their successes. Therefore, i agree to a large extend that hands-on experience is more empowering than studying facts from a book.

Personally such an activity would be really meaningful as i always wanted to spend quality time alone with my grandparents and have the opportunity to get to interact more with them. Secondly, i would also consider it relatively meaningful since people nowadays often take food for granted and are picky and only choose what they like to eat, resulting in large amount of food wastage.
