Such as others that I previously mentioned in slide II. They participated Non-violent tactics (freedom suits, literary protest, antislavery speeches, and petitions). After the abolition of slavery, life did not suddenly improve for Black Americans.  As a matter of fact far from it, in fact, things could be well argued which suggest that the situation became far worse before it even remotely became better.

The reform movement of the mid 1800ʻs didnʻt quite improve life for African Americans because they were still discriminated and judged because of their color. Although slavery was abolished and was stopped.
