         <description><![CDATA[<div>A closed ecosystem is something where materials and living things are practically "locked" inside a closed off ecosystem. They still get energy like the sun if put near sunlight. No materials can leave this ecosystem. People use closed ecosystems to help repopulate species, or to study what is in the closed ecosystem. </div>]]></description>

         <title>Our Closed Environment </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This past week we were given a minnow and told to make a environment our fish could live in for four days without adding, adjusting, or opening the container. We decided to put a few small rocks and one big rock, water, and out fish of course. After being closed for four days we were allowed to open the container and make adjustments our group added moss balls, sand, cleaned the water and container, and then we had to close it for two more days.  Our fish survived and seemed to be very healthy in our environment. After the 2 days were over our teacher gave us another chance to make changes until we present, we poked the sand to release the nitrogen and oxygen bubbles in the sand, we then empty out 85% of the water and added new water, and then cleaned the bacteria off the sides.   </div>]]></description>

         <title>Closed Ecosystem-Carbon Cycle </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This picture is similar to our ecosystem. Our closed ecosystem had sunlight, water, fish, rocks, sand, air/atmosphere,  and moss balls. The rocks help clean the water, the moss balls provide oxygen, the fish creates carbon dioxide, the sunlight keeps the plants and algae growing, the sand helps settle the rocks together and cover up big gaps so the fish cant go under. You of course can't leave it closed for extremely long periods of time because the water gets lots of bacteria and very dirty from the fish. Our specific fish is a plant eater so the algae and moss is eaten by the guppy</div>]]></description>

         <title>Cellular Respiration</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Cellular Respiration is a reaction that happens in cells of living things. What happens is that that change energy from the nutrients that they have and get and convert it into something called ATP. Then they get rid of all waste products in this process. This process is a way that a cell can release chemical energy to fuel them during cellular activity.</div>]]></description>
