         <description><![CDATA[<p>Fried chicken wasn’t a staple on my family’s dinner table growing up, but I vividly remember my first encounter with this crispy-coated dish. Someone brought an iconic red-and-white bucket of fast-food chicken to a Fourth of July block party. I was apprehensive as I stood on tippy toes, peering over the edge of the bucket to peek inside. As a picky eater, I generally avoided messy, hard-to-eat food like greasy chicken on the bone, but all the other kids were doing it. So, I held the drumstick with the edges of my fingers and sunk my teeth into the crunchy exterior. My unease disappeared, and I couldn’t help but smile as the coating shattered to reveal tender chicken within.</p><p><br/></p><p>I’ve had a lot of fried chicken since then, from chicken soaked in buttermilk for 48 hours to cornmeal oven-fried chicken and cornstarch-coated karaage chicken (aka Japanese fried chicken). What makes this fried chicken recipe unique is the batter, an egg and flour mixture that helps the crispy coating stick to the chicken. And while buttermilk is really common in fried chicken recipes, I’m glad we skip it here. Because, honestly, how many of us actually keep buttermilk in the fridge?</p>]]></description>

Slice the bun lengthwise . Dig a trench through the center of both halves with your fingers .</p><p><br/></p><p>Step 2: Fill the trenches with your choice of fresh meats and cheeses to form a protective moisture barrier to the bread.</p><p><br/></p><p>Step 3: Add the cucumber and tomato slices to balance the salty bite of the meat and cheese .</p><p><br/></p><p>Step 4: Drizzle on the mayo or dressing of your choice.          <description><![CDATA[<p>Ingredients: 1 cup butter, softened ;1 cup white sugar ;1 cup packed brown sugar ;2 eggs ;2 teaspoons vanilla extract ;1 teaspoon baking soda ;2 teaspoons hot water ;½ teaspoon salt ;3 cups all-purpose flour ;2 cups semisweet chocolate chips ;1 cup chopped walnuts.</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; Instruct</p><p>Step 1: Gather ingredients, making sure butter is softened and eggs are at room temperature.</p><p>Step 2: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). <br>Step 3: Beat butter, white sugar, and brown sugar with an electric mixer in a large bowl until smooth.</p><p>Step 4: Beat in eggs, one at a time, then stir in vanilla.</p><p>Step 5: Dissolve baking soda in hot water. Add to batter along with salt.</p><p>Step 6: Stir in flour, chocolate chips, and walnuts.</p><p>Step 7: Drop spoonfuls of dough 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets.</p><p>Step 8: Bake in the preheated oven until edges are nicely browned, about 10 minutes.</p><p>Step 9: Cool on the baking sheets briefly before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.</p><p>Step 10: Store in an airtight container or serve immediately and enjoy!</p>]]></description>
