My name is Kyriaki. I was born in the former Germany. I graduated the Aegean University and I have a degree in Social Anthropology and a master in History from Raris I – Pantheon – Sorbonne University. I was a teacher of Sociology and Citizenship at the 32st Senior High School of Thessaloniki. I have been involved with youth work, vocational education with a vast of topics, for example the adult education on a lot of programs of Environmental, Public Health and Food, of Women Rights and Gender Equality, Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs and about Emigration. Finally I have a personal experience on Education for Democratic Citizenship since 2000 in European level. I like reading and learning about other civilizations through traveling.
For me “Education for Democracy” means education, training, awareness raising, information, and all practices and activities that aim -by providing learners with knowledge, skills and understanding and developing their attitudes and behaviors- in empowering them to exercise and defend their democratic rights and obligations in society life, with the aim of promoting it as well protection of democracy and the rule of law. I've been making eTwinnig projects for a few years. I'm into using technology and web 2.0 tools in my lessons.I love meeting new people and sharing experience mutually.
