1. People do not always get what they deserve I mean I dont deserve everthing I go through and neither does Maître Hauchcorne because he died with his last words being "A little bit of string...."
2. Actually, I didn't like this short story for lots of reasons but a short story should include good plot and a theme and conflict and setting etc.

2) What makes “Piece of String” a good short story is that it has some good cliff hangers and a very surprisingly good/bad ending. HE DIED!!!
