I am writing to apply the position of Chemist as advertised in Jobstreet dated 17 February 2017. I am especially interested to work in Hartalega Sdn Bhd because it is a top leading glove manufacturer in Malaysia. 

 

I will graduate from Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) in November 2017 with a degree in Chemistry (Analytical Chemistry and Environment). The courses I took such as Separation Technique in Analytical Chemistry, Spectroscopic Technique in Analytical Chemistry and Research Method in Chemical Sciences have given me strong background into using analytical instruments and writing technical paper and reports. 

 

As a tutor in Pusat Tuisyen Genesis Ilmu, I prepared a variety of teaching materials which included teaching slides, notes and exercises as well as coaching students in their homework. This experience has improved my communication and presentation skills as well as my time managing skills. In addition, this experience has shaped me into a problem solver and an enthusiastic team player. 

 

My involvement in the Sea Turtle Research Unit Volunteer Program has strengthened my interpersonal skills. The responsibilities I shouldered when participating the program have develop my communication and event management skills. I am sure that my formal education background together with my experience and enthusiasm would be extremely relevant to this position and your company.
