CPR, also know as cardiopulmonary resurrection, is the performance to save a heart attack victim by delivering air, continuing the pumping of the heart, and sending oxygen throughout the body.

CPR for adults, children, and infants. Depending on the age of the person, their health and size, the type of CPR needed will be differed. For example, if it were an infant, you would need to use only one hand and a limited amount of air. If it were a adult, you would use full force and breathe amounts.
Adults: For the average adult, you would call for help, tell someone for AED, and to call 911. If there is no AED, then you would proceed with first aid kit and chest compression. Check for a pulse in the victim, but in the newest version of the red cross they recommend to not, for it may be your own. Locate the sternum, and then clasp fingers around the hand and use heel of the hand. You will continue to start with 30 compression's in a 3 minute period at a constant pace. After you would deliver 2 breathes to the person by closing the nose and tilting the head backwards and making sure no air escapes (you would be recommended to use a breathe deliverer in the first aid kit). You would repeat this until medics arrive. For a child, you would follow all steps depending on the age and size of the child. For infants, you would have to be more gentle because they are more fragile. You would use only one hand to deliver compression's and in a more gentle state. You would also deliver smaller breathes.

AED with adults, children and infants

If a AED is present, you would turn on the AED and it would tell you how to operate and control voltage. You would place adhesive pads to the upper left chest and lower left (depending on the persons body). You would yell clear and deliver shock when ready. Wait to see if the person's heartbeat returns to continue shocks. If it were a infant or child, you would use a lower dosage and place adhesive pads on the body in different areas, or use only one pad based on size of person.

A advanced airway should be present in a first aid kit, and is recommend to be used to stop spread of disease. To use, open up completely and unscrew the top mouth piece. You would then tilt the person's head back as if it were mouth to mouth, and press the open end onto the nose and mouth with a airtight seal to make sure no air escapes. You would then deliver two breathes and take off to deliver more chest compression's as needed.

During mouth to mouth, you must be vitally sure that no air escapes from the patient or it will be ineffective. Using a advanced airway or guider, it will be a lot safer and easier to use. First tilt the head back. Next pinch the nose and open the mouth. Next, lock airtight seal around mouths and deliver two breathes.

Chocking is when an object is blocking the airway that causes chocking. To start, you will ask the person if you can help them if responsive. Next, you would step behind the person, and wrap arms around the person and clasp hands below breastbone. You would then squeeze and deliver compression's to cough up the item using air in the airways. If patient becomes unconscious, you would sit person up in a position where food wont be lodged down further, and continue to push near the diaphragm as before. Never stick hand down the mouth to retrieve item.

Medical emergencies are more serious and life threatening such as a open wound or concussion. Injuries would be considered less serious and dealt with the first aid kit rather than 911. Environmental emergencies are created when the environment grows away from homeostasis such as heat, cold, objects, animals, weather, and plants could all be factors. Depending on the seriousness, a 911 responder may be needed.

Severe bleeding: If a person is bleeding these are the steps needed to follow. First calm the person to slow the heart rate and use PPE. Next obtain water to clean out would and apply clean gauze to cover and apply pressure to wound. If cuff is available to limb, only use for 3-5 minutes. If gauze is bled thru, apply new gauze on top. Never take old gauze off, for it could reopen the wound. Be gentle with wound, and once bleeding has stopped or at a minimal, you can wrap in bandage to keep pressure and support gauze. Wash hands and remove PPE. Depending on if wound is a puncture, you will need different amount of pressure.
Splints: Splints are used when bones are fractured or broken. If not bone is exposed, try no to move the bone at all. Find a straight long object that is sturdy. Place gentaly onto the bone and secure to not allow bone to move or bend.
Severe burn: To heal the burn, you must allow it to breathe. First apply PPE and apply cold water to burn. Apply aloe Vera or stimulate to help heal and wrap with cloth and gauze. Burns must heal themselves.
Heat: When the body is in too hot of a environment, dehydration and heat stroke are possible. If either occur, bring to a shady are and give water. Also bring down the body temperature and bring blood pressure back to normal or homeostasis, even if the person is unconscious.
