His dissection and recording of human anatomy influenced how we conceptualize and represent the brain today. MRI scans, for instance, are modern representations of the same principles to understand function and health. This artifact was chosen to highlight how da Vinci’s legacy extends far beyond his time, directly impacting today’s tools for understanding the human brain.
