    A personal reflection on lesson aims from a manager.

    Similarly, when we enter the classroom, we have an idea of what we want to achieve but it can be difficult to articulate. For formally observed lessons, the observer often relies on stated aims to assess the effectiveness of the lesson which heightens their importance. In my experience, this also increases teacher/Manager discomfort with lesson aims. However, working with teachers on lesson aims can be incredibly empowering. As a manager, it was always a time I was reminded that I am a teacher too.
