Enough of the 3rd person narrative!!

Born on the 15th of January 2008, I am a 17-year-old student who aims to reach my dream of becoming a successful Pedia-Onco one day. I love the color yellow, music, matcha, and picking up different hobbies, which is currently writing!

A common trigger I would have is when I am put down onto the bed when I sleep, or when I am carried by a family member that isn’t my mom, dad, or Ate ge. This trait of mine reflects Erik Erikson’s ideas on how the infancy stage develops the trust or mistrust of a being to others; shown with how I had a hard time trusting others or my surroundings, resulting in endless waterfalls and concerts.

2- For college, I plan to attend the University of Santo Tomas, taking up a BS in Nursing. Upon extensive research, I view this school as a highly prestigious institution for aspiring Nurses and doctors alike, which drives me to believe it would develop my skills in my chosen profession.

3- As I study Nursing, I plan to utilize my 3rd and 4th years as a student nurse, as these years mark the beginning of our practical experience of being put in hospitals. I plan to familiarize myself with the hospital's mechanisms, scheduling, procedures, and coping with pressures.

4- By the time I finish 4 years in college, I plan to prepare and take my licensure examination for Nursing. That way, I can say I am a registered nurse and reserve the option to pursue the profession further, if I wish to.

5- Post examination, I will proceed to Medical school at the University of Santo Tomas, to become a doctor, and study for the specialization in Pediatrics and Oncology.

6- Successfully, I became a Pediatrician-Oncologist, initially practicing at San Pedro Hospital, followed hopefully by my own clinic, helping and serving young kids.

“Everything happens for a reason” is one of the key takeaways from this subject that has enlightened me. The way an individual perceives themselves and the way they interact with the community is rooted in factors such as family background, past experiences, or even genetic makeup. This enlightenment has developed my compassion, respect, and understanding of others, especially those with different views and perceptions from my own.

My favorite topics from this subject are the basic concepts of self-awareness and self-empowerment, as well as the topic of love. The topic of self-awareness and self-empowerment has enabled me to better understand the roots of my behavior, values, habits, and principles, and how they shape me and influence my self-perception and interactions with others. Other than this, the topic of love has taught me that it comes in various ways, which has improved my understanding of it as an adolescent who is starting to build deeper connections with other people in the community. As a whole, these topics are my favorites as they help develop my understanding of myself, others, and my connection to them, enabling me to become a better individual for myself and others.
