My school is located at Kuna Yala island, it takes almost 6 hours by boat and 1 hour by plane, when people go by ship they can sight many islands which surround the coast and the turquoise sea water everywhere.

I worked there 2 years ago and it was an amanzing experience have been taught to primary school, by the way the school’s name is Dibwar School and also mostly people called it Carreto School, Dibwar was an interesting name and also caught my attention that name was coming from an animal called painted rabbit. I was surprise because I never heard it before. Actually that animal was so especial for people who lives there.

On the other hand there were many students at primary school although they didn’t understand spanish all along they were motivated to learn all the English activities, especialy participating in role plays, songs, and games during the English classes.

Mostly they learned mainly topics throught flash cards, team workshops, gap fills, role plays, puzzles, English projects and others. Also they loved sing songs in classes and doing exercises before to star the class. After that we did brainstorming according the topic which we have learnt during the week begin.

Also they choose a free topic which they liked and they worked by themselves creating their own speech and pictures that represented as well their own histories.

Finally, they always were be able to learn everyday english in classes and explored their own creativity and motivation as well.

Using Music and Pictures

I never tried this but I’m interested because my students will be able to learn adjectives for describing people, animals and other nouns and how they are going to write them as well, writing short and long phrases. Also they will guess whats the topic music about and they will be able to compare pictures and maybe they could be more interested to draw it and make short stories related to pictures.

I consider this writing strategy will be more effective if students working on it stage by stage e.g, the first stage will be listen music and discover pictures through it.
the second stage will be discover and write some adjectives listened in the music played.
the next stage will be learn and write some short phrases related to pictures.
the next stage will be learn some link words to connect words.
the final stage will be write a short story using all words learned in class and then they will be able to practice in an oral form to say at English class.

Pronuntation Skills

There is a long way to practicing pronuntation skills according learning and teaching process. The author argued that “Its not enough of teachers to know the theory pronuntation”. Particularly this means that teachers have to know is: where in their mouth they are making the sound?, beside that they have to find the sound. Also where is their lips? or its the air coming out? and most important is how and where we they pronounce sounds.

In my opinion I think this pronuntation resources are useful for me because it allow me to find better effective tools to learn all the pronuntation techniques according the British vowels and consonats table for helping my students for a good pronuntation as well.

By the way, there was three different sounds as divided below:

Stage 1 Sounds: Refer to individual sounds such as: vowels.
Stage 2 Words: sounds and word are linked to pronounce complete words.
Stage 3 Speech: All the sounds and words together to conneted speech.

In conclusion I think it will be useful for native and non native teachers learn the British table and to know how can we pronounce as well every single vowel and consonants.

The reading lesson activity done in class was an amanzing experience for me. I found many ways to encourage students deal with reading task in classes including instructions which contains an explorable reading texts divided step by step e.g, Read the text, make a pre-text engage/ activate schemata activity, it means students will be able to scan what they know for characters, people, culture others, next make an instensive skim task, which refers to students will be may to take a quickly look of the text indeed, then they will do an intensive task where they can to displayed knowledge acquired from the whole text, Finally teachers must include communicative activities for the language improvement.

On the other hand I consider the reading lesson experience will be too long in order to realise it at English class in a short time, particularly this reading activity could be developed during the week.

Finally the reading journey activity is an important strategy for developing English skills, in spite of some steps are controlled, others are free and activate imagination and creativity in students.

The first visit was at the Sparkenhoe Community primary school. I must stress that the experience gained at the Sparkenhoe School was effectively satisfactory in the way which I have been acquiring innovating strategies for writing, phonics and speaking skills.

In terms of classroom, it shows that clearly and specific resources in the classroom are important for obtain students knowledge and attract their attention in mainly topics presented in class.

thus, the organization of the school day was well organized and all the time students demonstrated order and discipline inside and outside of the class.

In addition students were focused in their assigments and interchanging information with his teacher. They also were capable to participating during questions space and sharing their opinions with classmates.

On the other hand, the methodology used in class clearly state that it is well organized and awake the interest in students. Also the class become in an interesting environment where students and the teacher are motivated for gaining long life experiences and knowledge.
