The British Museum saw significant variations in its visitor numbers between June and September 2013. In June, the museum attracted around 600,000 visitors, and this number increased sharply in July to approximately 720,000, marking the highest point for the museum during this period. However, by August, the number of visitors dropped significantly to 500,000, which was the lowest point for the British Museum throughout the summer. Despite this decline, September brought a recovery, with the visitor count rising again to around 640,000, showing a rebound as the summer ended.

In contrast, the Science Museum experienced a steady decline in visitors for most of the summer before making a notable recovery in September. The museum began with around 400,000 visitors in June, but by July, the number had decreased to approximately 370,000. This downward trend continued into August, where visitor numbers dropped further to 300,000, the lowest point for the Science Museum. However, the museum managed to reverse this trend in September, seeing a significant increase in visitors to around 450,000, an impressive rise of 150,000 visitors compared to the previous month.

Similarly, the Natural History Museum also experienced fluctuations in its visitor numbers, though its pattern was slightly different. In June, it had around 670,000 visitors, making it one of the most popular museums at the start of the summer. However, the museum saw a sharp drop in visitors in July, with numbers falling to 400,000. In August, the Natural History Museum experienced a slight increase, reaching 410,000 visitors. The trend continued positively into September, when the visitor count rose by another 60,000, bringing the total to approximately 470,000 for the final month of the summer.

In conclusion, while all three museums experienced fluctuations in their visitor numbers over the summer, the British Museum remained the most popular overall. The Science Museum, although having the fewest visitors initially, managed to achieve the largest increase in visitors by September. Meanwhile, the Natural History Museum saw a slower but steady recovery towards the end of the summer.
