In the north was Niflheim, a frozen realm which had freezing rivers that flowed into the void. The north end of the void was filled with the water that froze. Hot winds from Muspelheim melted the ice and the drops formed Ymir the first frost giant. When Ymir slept his sweat formed two children and a six headed son which birthed the frost giants. more of the drops from Niflheim formed Audumbla, a primeval cow was born, Ymir used Audumbla’s milk for sustenance. Audumbla fed her self by licking salty, rine covered stones. Each day she licked the stones it uncovered parts of a man called Buri. Buri later had a son called Borr. Borr married Bestla  a giant. They had three children Odin,villi and ve. These children killed Ymir and used all of his body to create the world. A giant named Dawn married a giantess called Night and the had a son called Day. Odin gave Night and Day a chariot to ride around in the sky. on earth a boy Moon and a girl Sun were taken and placed in the skies with Night and Day. They are constantly running from the great wolfs, Skol and Hati who are trying to eat them.

Thor was the son Odin and was the thunder god. he protected humanity and was very quick to anger. once Loki shaved Thor's wife's head and Thor was about to beat up Loki when Loki promised to get his wife's hair back. Loki went to the dwarves and asked them to make the hair. they melted out pure gold and made into hair for Thor's wife. Loki also asked them to make a weapon for Thor so they mad him a hammer that was indestructible and would always make its way back to Thor. He was hunted down by the gods and fled to a cave where they found him. Fenrir is another son of Loki and is a giant wolf. At first the gods tried to raise Fenrir to keep him under control but he grew to fast and the gods tried to chain him up. the first  two attempts were unsuccessful. The gods convinced Fenrir that they were just playing a game to keep him from running and wrecking havoc. on the third attempt the gods got the dwarves to male the strongest chain in all the realms to keep him down. they made the chain look weak and soft so that Fenrir wouldn't get suspicious but he made one of the gods put his hand in his mouth for insurance. the god Tyr was the only one that would step up to do it knowing his hand would be eaten. when Fenrir couldn't break free he bit Tyr's hand off. The got put a sword between Fenrir's jaws and his drool made a river.

Draugr are zombie like creatures that live near where they died guarding there burial ground and treasure or they'll seek revenge on people who wronged them in life. they often have super human strength and can change there size at will.
