These devices support individuals with various tasks that without they wouldnt be able to preform as well or at all. The independence that AT provides can give people a sense of purpose and equality that they may have not had without it.

There are also instruction modifications, tiered assignments, scaffolding, flexible lessons, graphic organizers, buddy learning, and appealing to different types of learners. These are just a small few examples of all the different types of differentiated instruction.

Assistive technology includes more than just common devices like wheel chairs and hearing aids, there are countless devices that serve a multitude of disabilities. Some examples of these devices includes, screen readers, speech-to-text devices, braille displays, calculators, canes, large print books, walkers, reminder apps, speech generating devices, adaptive utensils, adaptive clothing, elevators, etc.

Assistive technology provides disabled individuals with the tools to overcome boundaires in their everyday environment putting disabled individuals at a more even playing feild as able bodied individuals. AT allows for independence and oppourtunities for individuals with disabilites inside of and outside of the classroom. Assistive technology can be used within classrooms to help support disabled students in various everyday tasks.

Differentiated instruction is a teaching method that modifys how children are taught to better meet the students needs. This requires teachers who are intune withtheir students and their individual needs allowing students to learn in a way that suits them. By utalizing differentiated instruction students are able to learn at a speed or in a way best suited for them allowing for a deeper understanding of the content they are being exposed to.

This increases confidence within the children, aids in their development, creates a collaborative classroom, and aids diverse learners.
