         <description><![CDATA[<div>Some forms of Assessment for Learning can be through asking simple questions during the learning process, similar to formative assessment just so the teacher is able to know what the students have learnt.<br><br>Assessment As Learning can be through self-assessments or exit tickets so students are able to know where they are in the learning process and this helps them identify what they need to work towards.<br><br>Assessment Of Learning can take place similarly to summative assessments where exams, quizzes or tests are used to evaluate student knowledge against a set rubric.</div>]]></description>

They are conducted in the beginning of a unit or course where it is used to collect data on what the students already know.&nbsp;Many teachers may also use diagnostic assessments to find out if any students have any pre existing misconceptions about the subject matter.<br><br>It can be through MCQ questions, quizzes, getting students to create a mind map, or even simple google forms. </div>]]></description>

It is a valuable tool to drive data based instruction by allowing the teacher to make pivots in their instruction&nbsp; to increase overall student achievement and misconceptions through the process.&nbsp;<br><br>Example: Teacher uses aggressive monitoring to take "quick scales." This method creates an urgency for learning in the classroom by allowing the student to write down their answers to questions in a controlled narrative.&nbsp; As the teacher circulates throughout the classroom they will know which students need a re-teach or the whole class.</div>]]></description>

These test ask a series of questions to determine a student's reading level.
