         <description><![CDATA[<div>In conclusion the data represents that the sharks could not migrate into New England in the 90s but now they migrate there because the water temperatures increased. The way it can affect the environment is that hammerhead sharks will eventually go into an area where the prey have not been introduced to hammerhead sharks. The transition of being forced into another type of environment due to global warming, could introduce a new predator into a different food web that could disrupt the current food pyramid.   </div><div><br></div><div><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In New England they measured a single juvenile female whose length was reported at 95 cm it was captured and tagged. It traveled about 3,350,000 m in a 10 ½ month period. After moving offshore, the shark remained in shallow and warm waters of less than 30 m depth and temperatures as high as 89.6°F were recorded during the day. The shark made repeated dives to deeper and colder waters at the depths 250 m and 51.8°F, at night to hunt prey. The water in New England used to be colder. In the 1990s the high was 76°F and the low would sometimes go as low as 10°F.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Climate change is warming our oceans at the rate of .11°F each year approximately 3 times faster than our global average. While there's not much migration information on juvenile hammerheads, Scientists normally just measure their length. Studies on schools of hammerheads sharks indicate that at least part of the population undergoes a migration during their life cycle at a distance of 115,000 m typically this represents them going from coastal to offshore waters. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Hammerhead sharks get their name because their nose jets out of their face and it looks like a hammer. They can grow up to 20 feet and can weigh 1000lbs, but smaller sizes are more common with hammerhead sharks. Hammerhead sharks are warm water creatures that normally live in warm water, approximately  86.6°F because they cannot regulate their body temperature by generating heat. They cannot go into cold water because it shuts their body down. We will highlight how global warming affects the characteristics of the migratory patterns of hammerheads sharks.</div>]]></description>
