Getting to Know Each Other (Taaruf): An introductory session to build a friendly learning environment.

· The Right Attitude in Learning (Adab): The most important first step in seeking knowledge is to have good manners. This means being humble, respectful to the teacher, and sincere in your intention to learn for God's sake, not to show off.

· The Quran as a Guidebook: The Quran is not just a holy book to be recited; it is a practical guide for life, sent by God to show humanity the right path.

· 📖 New Point: The Purpose of Life

  · Simplified: A key purpose of our life is to worship and know God. Seeking knowledge, especially about our faith, is a core part of that worship.

  · Example: Just like you read a manual to understand how a complex device works, we read the Quran and seek Islamic knowledge to understand our purpose and how to live a life that is pleasing to our Cre

ator.

· The Hadith of Jibril (Gabriel): This famous hadith clearly and simply defines the three main dimensions of the religion:

  1. Islam: The outward actions and pillars (like prayer and fasting).

  2. Iman: The inner faith and what you believe in your heart.

  3. Ihsan: The highest level, which is to worship God with excellence, as if you see Him.

· 📖 New Point: The Connection Between the Three

  · Simplified: Islam, Iman, and Ihsan are deeply connected. Your beliefs (Iman) should drive your actions (Islam), and both should be done with excellence (Ihsan).

  · Example: You don’t just pray because it's a rule (Islam); you pray because you truly believe in God (Iman), and you strive to pray with full focus and presence of heart (Ihsan), knowing He is watching you.

12 / 12 / 2025 ( SEM 2 )

Alhamdulillah, today’s usrah session was so heart-warming and insightful! 💖 Sitting together and learning about Ḥikmah—its meaning, depth, and importance—really opened my heart and mind. 🌿📖

I loved how we explored the different definitions of ḥikmah, from wisdom and intellect to understanding Allah’s commands with clarity and sincerity 🌟. The explanation that ḥikmah is “the ability to discern the true nature of things and act accordingly” really struck me 😌—it reminds us that wisdom isn’t just about knowing, but doing what is right.

Hearing the classical scholars’ perspectives also added so much depth 🤲✨:
• Ḥikmah as knowledge + action 📘➡️🕌
• Ḥikmah connected to fear of God ❤️‍🩹
• Ḥikmah as comprehending Allah’s guidance 🌈

The discussion felt so peaceful and uplifting 🕊️. Everyone shared their thoughts openly, and it really reminded me how beautiful it is to seek knowledge together for the sake of Allah 🤍.

Overall, today’s usrah left me feeling grateful, inspired, and motivated to practice real ḥikmah in my daily life—slowly but consistently, in shā’ Allāh 🌻💫.

Looking forward to more sessions like this with all of you! 😄💞📚

9 / 1 / 2026

When the naqib shared about “Preparation of Salah with Khushu’”, it honestly felt like a much-needed reminder 🕊️. Sometimes we rush into solat without really preparing ourselves, so this topic came at the right time and hit close to the heart 🤍.

What I liked most was how the session didn’t jump straight into khushu’, but started from the basics—solat, wuduk, and even tayammum 🌊✨. It made me realise that khushu’ doesn’t suddenly appear during solat; it actually begins before we even say Allahu Akbar. The way we take wuduk, understand the rukun, and fulfil the conditions all play a big role 🧠📿.

The discussion on khushu’ itself was very eye-opening 🌙. Learning its meaning, the things that disturb it, and simple ways to improve focus made solat feel more achievable—not something “perfect people” have, but something we can slowly work towards 💛.

Overall, this sharing felt gentle, practical, and very relatable 🌱. It reminded me that solat isn’t about rushing to finish, but about meeting Allah with a prepared heart 🤲✨. Definitely a session that makes you want to be more mindful the next time you stand on the prayer mat 😊

16 / 1 / 2026

The usrah session held after the Jumaah prayer today was very meaningful and heart-touching 🕌✨. The naqib shared about the importance of khusyuk in salah, reminding us that prayer is not just a routine action, but a special moment where we communicate directly with Allah 🤍.

The naqib explained that khusyuk is a sign of successful believers, as mentioned in the Qur’an 📖. This made the session feel very impactful because it encouraged us to reflect on our own prayers — not just whether we pray on time, but whether our hearts are truly present 🧠💭➡️❤️.

What made the session more interesting was how practical the advice was 🌱. The naqib mentioned that khusyuk does not come instantly, but can be developed by understanding the meaning of what we recite, slowing down our movements, and remembering that we are standing before Allah 🤲✨. These tips felt simple yet powerful.

The examples given were very relatable 😌, especially when the naqib compared our focus during exams or daily tasks with our focus in prayer 📚⏰. It made us realize that distractions in salah often come from within ourselves and our attachment to worldly matters 🌍.

Overall, the usrah session was inspiring and calming 🌙💖. It motivated us to improve the quality of our salah, not just the quantity. The reminder that Allah values sincerity and presence of heart made the session truly beneficial. May Allah help us all achieve khusyuk in our prayers, step by step 🌸🤲.

23 / 1 / 2026

Today’s usrah session after Solat Jumaat felt really meaningful and soothing 🕌💚 The assistant focused on the topic of fasting (puasa), but not just the “don’t eat, don’t drink” part — it went much deeper than that 🌊✨

He reminded us that fasting is not only about holding hunger and thirst 🍽️🚫💧, but also about controlling our desires, emotions, and actions 😤➡️😌. It’s like a full-body and full-heart training program from Allah 🏋️‍♂️❤️‍🔥

One part that really stood out was when he said fasting teaches us sabr (patience) 🕊️ and self-control 🧠🔒. When we’re hungry but still choose to obey Allah, it shows who we truly prioritize 🥹🤲 That small daily struggle actually builds strong iman over time 📈✨

He also talked about how fasting makes us more aware of people who struggle with food daily 🍞🥺. It softens the heart ❤️ and pushes us to be more generous 🤝💞. So fasting isn’t just personal ibadah — it connects us to the ummah too 🌍🫂

Another powerful reminder was that fasting should also include:

👅 Fasting from bad words

👀 Fasting from inappropriate sights

👂 Fasting from gossip

💭 Fasting from negative thoughts

Basically… whole system detox 🧼✨ for the soul 🫀🌿

The session ended with a reminder that Allah doesn’t need our hunger — we need the fasting 🥹📿 It’s for cleansing our hearts, strengthening taqwa, and bringing us closer to Him 🌙🤍

Overall, the usrah felt:

🧠 Eye-opening

💓 Heart-softening

🕊️ Spirit-lifting

Left the mosque feeling lighter, more motivated, and a bit shy about my own weaknesses — but also hopeful to improve 💪😌

9 / 12 / 2025

Attending an usrah every weekend always feels like a pause button in the middle of a busy week 🕊️. When the naqib introduced the topic “Reasons and Sources of Ḥikmah from ʿIbādah”, it immediately caught my attention because it sounded both deep and very relevant to daily life ✨.

As the sharing went on, it reminded me that ibadah isn’t just routine movements or obligations, but a source of wisdom that slowly shapes our heart, mindset, and actions 🧠💫. Salah teaches discipline and humility, fasting builds self-control and empathy, while dhikr brings calmness and clarity to the soul 🤍📿.

What I appreciated most was how the topic helped us understand why Allah commands certain acts, not just what we are supposed to do. It made worship feel more meaningful and personal—like every act of ibadah is gently training us to become better people 🌙🌱.

By the end of the usrah, I felt refreshed, reflective, and motivated 🥹✨. It inspired me to improve my ibadah not out of pressure, but out of understanding and love for Allah 🤲💖.
