Another moment that was surprising to me was when his dad did not even say welcome home not even sarcastically! Three other surprising moments to me where when Grover revels what he truly is (Mr. Brunner also).#Two is when the big monster is looking through the car and then chasing them also when he kills the animal after it kills his mother. It was also suprising that mrs.dodds  turned in to a monster with talons.
